OUR REGION
The Elmhurst Bush Nursing Centre is a government funded non-for-profit Centre located between Ararat and Avoca on the Pyrenees Highway.
Established in 1916, after encouragement from The Elmhurst Progress Association to meet the needs of Elmhurst and district including
Landsborough, Crowlands, Glenlofty, Crowlands, Glenpatrick and Ampitheatre.
Situated at the Pyrenees Shire Council, the region is a diverse agricultural area of cropping and livestock, producing wool, prime lambs, beef, grains,
legumes, and wine grapes.
- Ensure the right qualifications, knowledge, and skills are available to provide safe, high quality health care to patients
- Communicate with other specialist areas about health care conditions so that individual health care needs are met
- Targeted health promotion and prevention to reach vulnerable groups in communities
- Empower consumers to make their own informed decisions to prevent and manage their individual healthcare needs.
- Feedback will be heard and actioned appropriately
- Consumers are safe and comfortable accessing health care
- Support and communicate choices to patients, carers, families, and consumers
- Give information in a way that can be understood and support clients in their decisions concerning health care
- Reach vulnerable groups of the community.
- Plan, design, monitor and evaluate the service specific to consumer needs
